Eddy Lord Dombraye is a highly accomplished professional football coach whose career has spanned continents, cultures, and competitive arenas. Born on November 11, 1979, in Yenagoa, Nigeria, and originally from Ossiama Town in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Eddy’s journey reflects a life shaped by discipline, vision, and a relentless passion for the beautiful game.
His early education began at Army Children School in Effurun, Delta State, followed by Esessi Secondary School in Ughoton, Delta State. With a foundation rooted in determination and focus, he progressed to hone his football craft at the Sports Institute LKL in Lutsk, Ukraine—an experience that launched him into the global football scene.
As a player, Eddy brought flair, intelligence, and perseverance to every club he represented—from Nigeria’s Iwuanyanwu Nationale to the elite pitches of Poland, Serbia, and Ukraine, including stints with ŁKS Łódź, OFK Beograd, and FC Zakarpattia Uzhhorod. His international exposure sharpened his tactical mindset and nurtured his fluency in English, Ukrainian, Polish, and Russian.
Transitioning seamlessly into coaching, Eddy has demonstrated a forward-thinking philosophy centered on technical development, tactical awareness, and youth empowerment. He has served in coaching roles with Arsenal Kyiv’s senior and U17 teams and led Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi, Nigeria, with tactical astuteness and leadership.
Eddy holds multiple UEFA coaching licenses—including UEFA C (2016) and UEFA A (2018, 2021, 2024)—along with UAF coaching certification, all attesting to his deep grounding in modern football methodologies.
Beyond football, Eddy is a family man. He is married and blessed with two boys who inspire him daily to lead by example and live with integrity both on and off the pitch.
