Born circa 1894 in Bulou-Ojobo, Delta State, Chief Francis Brisibe Agamagu—reverently known as Pa Brisibe—was a towering figure whose influence spanned colonial and post-independence Nigeria. A descendant of the Adamagu family of Ojobo and the Yeibiri family of Ayamasa, he inherited a legacy of leadership and community valor, notably through his elder brother, Chief Zuokumor Adamagu, a red-cap warrior and village defender.

Despite lacking formal education, Pa Brisibe mastered English through interactions with colonial officers in Forcados. His intellect and charisma earned him a seat in the Western Region House of Chiefs in Ibadan (1950–1956), where he championed the interests of the Ijaw people across the Niger Delta. His voice echoed in halls of power, bridging tradition and governance.
💼 Entrepreneurial Vision
A natural entrepreneur, Pa Brisibe co-founded the B&B Transportation Company with Chief Bozimor, pioneering riverine and upland logistics from Warri. He also secured contracts supplying food to colonial prisons, proving his business acumen and strategic foresight.

Married to over 15 wives, Pa Brisibe fathered more than 30 children, many of whom rose to national prominence:
