Education
Augustine began his formal education at Proctor Memorial Primary School, Kaiama, where he studied from 1942 to 1949.
He later attended St. John’s College Diobu in Port Harcourt, where he obtained:

- Teacher’s Grade II Certificate
He further distinguished himself academically by passing the General Certificate of Education (GCE) examinations:

Career and Professional Achievements
Augustine Ali Akene began his professional life as a pupil teacher between 1950 and 1954, demonstrating a strong commitment to education.
In 1969, he joined the Shell Petroleum Development Company in Port Harcourt. His competence and diligence quickly earned him recognition within the organization.

In 1975, Augustine Ali Akene was elected and crowned Amadaowei (Paramount Ruler) of Kaiama.

Faith and Spiritual Commitment
Augustine Ali Akene was a devoted Christian and an Elder in the Church of God Mission International.

He was married to Deaconess Rebecca Akene, a retired educationist.
Their marriage was blessed with fourteen children, forming a large and vibrant family.

In February 2003, Augustine Ali Akene fell ill and was admitted to the Shell Hospital in Port Harcourt.
